NZEA Events Awards Finalst.

We are thrilled to announce that the Tainui Waka Kapa Haka Festival 2024 has been named a finalist at the prestigious NZEA Events Awards!

Held at the GLOBOX Arena in Hamilton, our festival has been recognised as a finalist for the Arts, Cultural or Heritage Event of the Year 2025. This is a powerful acknowledgment of our people, our art form, and the incredible work that went into creating an unforgettable event for our community.

This honor is a testament to the passion and dedication of everyone involved - from our kaihaka and tutors to our kaimahi and partners. We are deeply proud to have a kapa haka event stand alongside the best events in the country, and we extend a huge mihi to our entire community for helping us achieve this milestone. We look forward to celebrating this success together as we await the final result.
